literally meaning `Hidden'- is a quaint town of Bundelkhand region in the heart of India- Madhya Pradesh. It is an ancient medieval town which was founded in 16th century by the Bundela Rajput chieftain, Rudra Pratap. The capital of Bundela Kingdom has marvelously preserved the spirit of its past and breathes history in every detail. Stretching along the River Betwa, Orchha is marked by the huge temples, magnificent cenotaphs (chhatri), and striking forts. The land of Raja Ram is surrounded by thick Dhak forest, where the shimmering holy river and the sighting of rare Indian Vultures atop the rooftops of Orchha's mesmerizing architecture offer a sight that's rare and captivating.
